Terms & Conditions
Closed beta version 1.0 · last updated: July 13, 2026 · applies to prodquest.app
This document is currently published in English only. Localized legal versions (matching the interface languages available on the main site) are planned for a future release, once reviewed by qualified counsel in each relevant jurisdiction.
Fields marked [ ] need the operating entity's registration details before this document can be published in production. Everything else reflects the actual closed-beta mechanics described in the product specification.
1. Definitions
- Service — the ProdQuest web application available at prodquest.app, currently in a closed-beta phase.
- Provider — the entity described in section 2, operating the Service.
- Player — a natural person who has registered for the closed beta and holds an account.
- Agent / Mentor — the AI system that assesses tasks, adjusts difficulty, and communicates with the Player within the Service.
- Closed beta — the pre-release testing phase of the Service, available by invitation, to a limited number of Players, free of charge.
2. Service provider
[Entity name / legal form]
[Registered address]
[Company registration number, if applicable]
email: hello@prodquest.app
3. Technical requirements
Using the Service requires: a device with internet access, a current web browser with WebAssembly support, and JavaScript enabled. The Provider does not guarantee compatibility with browsers no longer supported by their vendors.
4. Closed-beta registration
- Registration takes place through the form available at prodquest.app and requires providing an email address, a display name, and completing a short skill self-assessment used to assign the Player to a cohort.
- Closed-beta participation is available to individuals who are at least 16 years old. A person between 16 and 18 years of age confirms, by registering, that they have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
- Registration does not guarantee immediate access — the Provider grants access in successive cohorts, at its own discretion, based on capacity and testing needs.
- Participation in the closed beta is free of charge and does not obligate the Player to any future purchase.
5. Account rules
- One Player may hold one account. Sharing an account or credentials with third parties is not permitted.
- The Player is responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through their account.
- The Player may delete their account at any time from account settings; deletion follows the process described in the Privacy Policy (including a 14-day grace period).
6. Gameplay elements — HP, XP, rank
Important: Points (HP, XP), ranks, and any other gameplay elements have no monetary value. They are not a means of payment, are not transferable between accounts, are not redeemable for money, goods, or services, and are not a financial instrument within the meaning of applicable law.
- HP functions as a hint-negotiation currency between the Player and the Agent — it does not represent, and is not intended to represent, any economic value outside the Service.
- XP and rank reflect measured learning progress within the Service and serve a motivational and social (leaderboard) function.
- The Provider reserves the right to adjust point-earning and rank-threshold mechanics between beta phases, in particular based on data gathered on their effect on player retention (see the public roadmap).
7. AI-generated content
Tasks, explanations, hints, and grading justifications may be generated or co-generated by AI language models. The Provider makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and educational value of this content, but does not guarantee it is free from errors. Every task grade can be challenged through the process described in section 8.
8. Fair play and sanctions
- Grades are based primarily on objective, deterministic signals (automated tests, including hidden ones, static analysis, security checks) — these make up at least 70% of a task's grade. The remaining portion is a quality assessment, always accompanied by a rationale visible to the Player.
- A Player may challenge a task grade once per task. The challenge triggers an independent second review, carried out without access to the outcome of the first evaluation.
- Actions aimed at circumventing the grading mechanism (e.g. submitting solutions not authored by the Player, exploiting technical vulnerabilities to inflate points) are prohibited.
- The Provider applies a graduated response to detected violations: a warning → temporary exclusion from leaderboards → restriction of selected features → account suspension → permanent ban.
- Learning-mode access remains available to a Player at every stage of the sanctions process except a permanent ban — restrictions primarily affect competitive/ranking features.
- A permanent account ban is always made by a human decision-maker on the Provider's team — it is never issued solely through an automated process.
9. Complaints
Complaints regarding the operation of the Service can be submitted to hello@prodquest.app. The Provider will respond within 14 days of receiving a complete complaint.
10. Liability
Given the closed-beta nature of the Service, the Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may temporarily suspend access for maintenance or fixes. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider's liability toward a Player using the Service free of charge is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including with respect to consumers.
11. Personal data
Rules on the processing of personal data are described separately in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
12. Right of withdrawal
Since the closed beta is free of charge and does not constitute a distance sale of paid digital content, statutory withdrawal-from-contract provisions do not apply in the same way as for a paid service. Regardless, a Player may stop using the Service and delete their account at any time, free of charge, as described in section 5.
13. Changes to these Terms
The Provider may amend these Terms in particular due to changes in the scope of the Service during the beta, or to reflect legal requirements. Players will be informed of material changes by email and via an in-Service notice, with a reasonable notice period before the changes take effect.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Polish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the Player's country of habitual residence. EU consumers may also use the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
